The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader, Peter Mutharika, is set to speak to the people of Malawi on the 8th of March.
His spokesperson, Shadric Namalomba, confirmed this news in a statement released today.
They mentioned that the former president of the country would address the nation from his residence in Mangochi.
However, it is unclear what specific issues Mutharika will touch on during this upcoming meeting with journalists in the coming days.
Earlier, it was reported that Mutharika had intended to speak in support of maintaining party unity in Lilongwe, amidst uncertainty surrounding the party leadership vacuum and the letter from Malawi Catholic bishops in the country.
