Calls for Better Mental Health Support at Rotary Gala Dinner

Tonight in Lilongwe, Dr. Chilima spoke at the Rotary Gala Dinner held to honor the visiting Rotary International President. He emphasized the importance of addressing mental health issues as many people are affected by them.

Dr. Chilima expressed gratitude for the support Rotary Clubs provide to different parts of society. He urged Rotary to focus on activities that can ensure people with mental health challenges receive proper care.

Rotary International President Gordon McInally highlighted Rotary's commitment to mutual support. He assured continued assistance to Malawi, particularly in health-related areas.

Prior to the Gala dinner, the Rotary International President participated in the launch of Rotary Family Health Days, visited Bwaila Hospital, and met with the Mayor of Lilongwe City Council.
